March 2007

A completely redesigned website for FPL Webshows went live in late March just before the 'A Place in the Sun' exhibition in London. The site is The Overseas Property Webshow which is an online exhibition for UK people looking to buy overseas property. The site was redesigned to cope with the rapid growth in interest in the site and to allow developments throughout the world to be included.

The site features 'progressive video' – a new method of building instant start, large screen video sequences, searches, 3D, audio and video. In addition every advertiser on the site has a fully optimised sales-lead generation micro-website. Luke Fitzsimmons, project manager for The Overseas Property Webshow commented, "The new site was available on time and in budget and got universally positive feedback. It's different, engaging and very comprehensive – and already generating daily sales-leads for our overseas developers and agents." FPL Webshows is part of the €50 million London based MBI MBO Technology Group.

A blend of web development, content management and SEO techniques provide sites that deliver results over the long term. The latest one for the property industry is an all-new site for leading UK developer for Turkey, Nirvana International, which went live in mid-February. Robert Nixon, UK Operations Director, commented "The team was fast and responsive to my needs and changes, delivering a large complex website in around 6-weeks, on time and in budget."

The development team at PI Marketing have developed and optimised hybrid websites (a mix of HTML, CM, Flash, video etc.) for many property and travel related organisations such as (ARMA - Association of Managing Agents), the UK Property Webshow and Hostelbookers.com which, as a world-wide backpackers booking site, went from zero to $54 million in annualised sales in just two and a half years.

Neil Hutchinson, Managing Director of PI Marketing said, "The experience of running multiple sales lead generation micro web-sites for the Overseas Property Webshow gives us a unique view on how property web-sites should be built and perform cost-effectively in this industry."

PI makes Britannia Arts website live. Following the design and development of an interactive website that offers  British artists the opportunity to exhibit their work, the site went live in October. The site combines simplicity of design with a content-managed system to allow the owners to upload artist’s work along with descriptions and pricing information. Pictures are automatically resized as thumbnails and larger images; the system tracks the available works and an e-commerce system allows online purchase and secure credit-card processing.
