PI: Business Solutions

Building on your business system: distribution, trade and retail

Maximising the value of ADP K8 and other business systems

Using many years of experience in the development of world-class business websites and e-commerce solutions, coupled with research and extensive marketing knowledge, PI Marketing has developed an integrated approach to using your business system to drive both online sales and catalogue management.

This approach is designed to provide a risk-free path to extend the use of your business system (such as ADP K8) to take advantage of local or global internet access and e-commerce opportunities as well as to manage the production of pricing information.

In this way you can maximise your investment in your business system by offering your products online for both sales and customer access, offering both consumer and distributor pricing levels and streamlining your printed catalogue or mini-catalogue/newsletter production.

Stand-alone e-commerce website

If you are not ready for a business-system driven solution, we can build a business-system ready e-commerce solution with a manual entry back-office to achieve internet benefits. This can be integrated in a business system at a later date.

Business system calls are made from the web server to get real-time information such as stock levels and pricing. Other available business system functions such as logins, passwords, product information and so on are available to the online systems.

Image management at both web and print resolutions are handled by the web server which includes image resizing software as well as online image upload facilities.

The solution is customised to a specific business to take account of the sales and distribution channels, print requirements, product line limitations and the information to made available online. The business system is the primary information repository with the web server acting as a slave to provide the interface with the sales and marketing environment.

Business systems such as ADP’s K8 have a specific web interface which needs to be implemented first.
